Single Parent Families
Single parent families have a huge responsibily. Being a single parent can be a difficult challenge for everyone to face.
Trying to figure out things like daycare, homework, dinner, school issues, sports etc ... How do you find time to take care of it all and still have quality time with your children? How do you maintain your sanity without feeling overwhelmed? Is it possible?
I was a single parent for three children and let me tell you, it was no piece of cake. I had a full time job, never felt like I slept, and most of the time, felt like I was losing my mind. I felt like I never spent any time with my children and their grades were gradually slipping.
Every time I turned around their were birthday parties, bills to pay, school conferences, sports etc ... I had to hold down the fort. When I look back on it now, I often wonder how I did it. Everyone always told me I was doing a good job, but I never felt like it was enough. I've been in a relationship for the last two years, living together, and I still feel like I'm making up for lost time. I work full time still, to pay old debt, and I share custody of my children. I finally had to tell myself, it's not the quantity of time I spend with my family, it's the quality. Making the best out of every moment I spend with them is extremely important to me. Making special memories that last is the key.
Never feel like you're alone!
